Welcome to the OPS Network Community Alert Interface. This tool allows you to create, process, and distribute community alerts efficiently. Below are instructions for using its features:
Fields:
Alert Title: Enter a concise title for the alert (e.g., "Severe Weather Warning - Springfield").
Alert Type: Select the alert category from the dropdown (e.g., Critical, Missing Person, Other).
Alert Message: Provide detailed information about the alert (e.g., description of a missing person). Use "- " for bullets, "1. " for numbered lists, and Enter for line breaks/spacing. Text order is preserved as entered.
Alert Runs From: Set the start date and time using the date/time picker. Hover over the ? for guidance.
Alert Runs To: Set the end date and time, if applicable. Hover over the ? for guidance.
Location of Alert: Enter a place or address. Use the "Find Address" link to open Google Maps, then copy the location into the field. A clickable map link will appear in the output. Hover over the ? for guidance.
Link URL: Add a URL for additional information (e.g., a weather center). Optionally, provide a Link Title to customize the clickable text in the output. Hover over the ? for guidance.
Emergency Contact Information: Provide contact details (e.g., phone numbers, emails). Use "- " for bullets, "1. " for numbered lists, and Enter for line breaks/spacing. Text order is preserved as entered.
Special Instructions: Include specific actions or instructions (e.g., "Do not approach"). Use "- " for bullets, "1. " for numbered lists, and Enter for line breaks/spacing. Text order is preserved as entered.
Images: Upload images to include in the alert. They appear as compressed images in the output and when pasted; upload the same images to the OPS Community Alert Module to ensure they display.
Buttons:
Process: Generates the alert in the Output box based on entered fields.
Clear All Fields: Resets all fields, including images, and clears the Output box.
Export to PDF: Downloads a PDF file containing the Output content, compressed images, and the creation date/time, with the title "OPS NETWORK COMMUNITY ALERT".
Grab Alert Title: Copies only the Alert Title text to the clipboard for pasting into the OPS Community Alert Module or elsewhere.
Grab Complete Alert: Copies the full Output content, including the OPS logo (600px width, 15px bottom margin) and compressed images, to the clipboard for pasting into the OPS Community Alert Module.

PDF Export: The PDF includes the Output content, bulleted/numbered lists, compressed images, the creation date/time, and the title "OPS NETWORK COMMUNITY ALERT", downloadable directly as alert-report.pdf.
